Eight of our researchers honored with the Rector’s Distinctions

On 5 March, at the Kazimierzowski Palace of the University of Warsaw, the Rector’s Distinctions were awarded to: Prof. Anna Bajer, Prof. Łukasz Drewniak, Prof. Bogdan Jaroszewicz, Prof. Marta Szulkin, Dr Tomasz Kamiński, Dr Lidia Lipińska-Zubrycka, Dr Piotr Maszczyk, and Dr Anna Podgórska-Grzybowska.

Grant Team Net FENG from the Foundation for Polish Science

The BIOGLOBE project, carried out by a consortium led by the University of Warsaw, received funding in the FNP TEAM NET competition. The principal investigator is Prof. Łukasz Drewniak. Congratulations!

Award from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for significant achievements in implementation activities

The award of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in the category of implementation activities, was received by a team of researchers from the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw: Dr Klaudia Dębic-Andrzejewska (team leader), Prof. Łukasz Drewniak, Dr Namrata Joshi, Marcin Musiałowski, MA, and Maria Dąbrowska-Zawada, MA.

Dr. habil. Łucja Kowalewska – NCN Award 2025 Laureate

A researcher from the Faculty of Biology UW has received the prestigious NCN Award for her groundbreaking discoveries on the nanomorphology of biological membranes and their role in plant cell function.
