The Faculty of Biology UW at the “POla RADości” Picnic

On 20 June 2026, the Faculty of Biology at the University of Warsaw took part in the second edition of the “POla RADości” family science and health picnic, held in Maria Skłodowska-Curie Park in Warsaw. The event combined science communication, health education and activities for the whole family.

At the Faculty of Biology UW booth, visitors could learn how cells obtain energy through cellular respiration, discover features of the human body that are traces of our evolutionary past, and explore the world of wild edible plants. The event also gave visitors an opportunity to talk to specialists and ask questions about different areas of biology.

The Faculty of Biology UW booth was organised by Marcin Mazurkiewicz, MSc.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth for their interest, questions and time spent discovering the world of biology with us. We also thank the team involved in preparing and running the activities.
