PhD students Dorota Wiktorowicz and Beniamin Abramczyk received grants from the “Pearls of Science” program

PhD students Dorota Wiktorowicz and Beniamin Abramczyk from the Institute of Evolutionary Biology of the UW Biology Department have received grants in the competition from the “Pearls of Science II” Programme. Congratulations!

PhD students under the scientific supervision of Dr. habil. Julia Pawlowska will carry out the following projects:

  • Beniamin Abramczyk, “Interactions between algae and early land fungi” – 239,819.80 PLN
  • Dorota Wiktorowicz , “Using Arctic fungi for plastic degradation” – 239,932.00 PLN

The “Pearls of Science II” program was announced by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. It supports the conduct of scientific research and artistic creativity of first degree graduates and students who have completed their third or fourth year of unified studies.

Projects financed from the state budget, granted by the Minister of Science under the “Pearls of Science II” Program.

In the second edition of the “Pearls of Science II” program, 60 projects were subsidized, including 12 from the University of Warsaw.
