Open Day at the University of Warsaw took place on 18 April

On Saturday, 18 April 2026, the University of Warsaw Open Day was held on the Main Campus.

The event attracted great interest among prospective students, who visited the stands in large numbers from the opening until the end of the Open Day. Visitors had an opportunity to explore the University of Warsaw’s educational offer, including first- and second-cycle degree programmes, as well as education provided within the doctoral schools.

Among the presenting faculties, the Faculty of Biology was of course represented as well. At our stand, with the support of students from the Student Council of the Faculty of Biology, numerous questions were answered about studying in the programmes offered by the Faculty: Biology, Biotechnology, and the newly launched programme Nature Conservation.

During a special meeting with prospective students, held at 12:00 noon in Lecture Hall B of the Auditorium Maximum, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs Dr Takao Ishikawa spoke about studying at the Faculty of Biology. Dr hab. Monika Mętrak also presented the new Nature Conservation programme.

The entire event on behalf of the Faculty of Biology was coordinated by Dr Katarzyna Gieczewska.

We sincerely thank everyone for such great interest and invite you to apply to our Faculty!
