Recruitment for the PAFW and UW School of Education for the 2026/2027 academic year!

For 10 years, the School of Education of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the University of Warsaw has been training future teachers. The programme is addressed to people who want to teach Polish language, biology with nature studies, history and civics, or mathematics, and who wish to develop the skills needed in a modern school.

Studies at the School of Education are free of charge and take the form of an intensive postgraduate programme. The programme combines didactic preparation with school-based practice, work in small groups, individual tutor support, and reflection on one’s own professional development. From the beginning of the programme, students work in a real school environment: they observe lessons, co-teach classes, and gradually take responsibility for working with pupils.

The School of Education “teaches how to teach” — it develops critical thinking, relationship-building, attentive observation of the world, and the ability to support pupils in understanding contemporary challenges. These competences are especially important today, as schools need teachers who can combine knowledge, practice, and wise guidance in the learning process.

Students admitted to the programme may apply for a scholarship of up to PLN 2,500 per month throughout the entire period of study. Candidates from outside Warsaw may also apply for a place in a student dormitory.

We encourage you to learn more about the School of Education’s offer and to share this information with people who are considering a teaching career and would like to teach biology in a modern, responsible, and engaging way.
