UniStem Day at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw

On 20 March 2026, the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, hosted for the 10th time UniStem Day. The aim of the event was to promote reliable knowledge about stem cells and cell and gene therapies.
Over 300 secondary school students, together with their teachers, took part in the event at the Faculty of Biology. Participants attended lectures, movie shows, workshops, and a debate hosted by Dr. Konrad Skotnicki, known as the Doctor from TikTok. The debate was supported by experts: Dr. Anna Szmydki from the Medical University of Warsaw, Prof. Marcin Drąg from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Anna Marusiak from The International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines Polish Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Klaudia Brodaczewska from the Military Medical Institute.
The event was organized by Dr. hab. Karolina Archacka, together with the team from the Department of Cytology, as well as the teams from the Department of Embryology and the Department of Immunology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, together with the Medical Biology Student Scientific Association ‘Antidotum’.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Mazovian Voivode, the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, the Mayor of Warsaw, the Mayor of the Warsaw Ochota District, and the Rector of the University of Warsaw.
The partners and co-organisers of the event were: Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, IDUB, the Marshal’s Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, and the Capital City of Warsaw.
