Eight of our researchers honoured with the Rector’s Awards

On 5 March, at the Kazimierzowski Palace of the University of Warsaw, eight researchers from the Faculty of Biology (UW) were honoured with the Rector’s Awards.

Among the awardees from our Faculty were four experienced researchers:

  • Prof. Dr hab. Anna Bajer
  • Prof. Dr hab. Łukasz Drewniak
  • Prof. Dr hab. Bogdan Jaroszewicz
  • Prof. Dr hab. Marta Szulkin

and four researchers at earlier stages of their careers:

  • Dr Tomasz Kamiński
  • Dr Lidia Lipińska-Zubrycka
  • Dr Piotr Maszczyk
  • Dr Anna Podgórska-Grzybowska

The Rector’s Awards are prizes granted for outstanding scientific activity, including research and development work, which contributes in a special way to the development and prestige of the University. Candidates are selected by a university-wide committee based on nominations submitted by deans and heads of the University’s organisational units.

In this year’s edition, the Rector’s Award was granted to 171 researchers from the University of Warsaw.

We warmly congratulate all the awardees and keep our fingers crossed for their further scientific success!
