Our scientists in the laboratories of the Copernicus Science Centre!
10 12 2025
Six researchers from our Faculty took part in a pilot programme as part of a new research and development project at the Copernicus Science Centre – “Scientists in Copernicus Laboratories”. The project was implemented in cooperation with leading scientific institutions in Poland, including the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw.
As part of this cooperation, our researchers ran three original weekend workshops on different topics for visitors of the Copernicus Science Centre:
- “How do we discover prehistoric ecosystems? Laboratory methods for searching for traces of ancient life” – led by Dr Wojciech Pawlak and Anastazja Piaskowska from the Institute of Evolutionary Biology
- “Ecology of fear in a lake” – led by Dr Tomasz Brzeziński and MSc Marcin Żebrowski from the Institute of Ecology
- “How do fungi and mosses conquer new lands together?” – led by MSc Marcin Mazurkiewicz from the Białowieża Geobotanical Station and MSc Kamil Kisło from the UW Botanical Garden
We would like to thank the Copernicus Science Centre for the opportunity to collaborate!
