Ochota Campus Explorers’ Day 2026 – March 21

On Saturday, March 21, the Discoverers’ Day at the Ochota Campus (DOKO’26) will take place at the Ochota Campus of the University of Warsaw under the theme “Science from the Inside”.

DOKO’26 is a great opportunity to experience science in many different forms – through lectures, demonstrations, workshops, field games, and quizzes with prizes – as well as to learn more about the Ochota Campus and the science and natural science faculties of the University of Warsaw.

During DOKO’26, visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw.

Programme overview:

10:00 – 11:30 – Multi-lecture “Science from the Inside”
(lecture hall 0.03, Faculty of Physics, 5 Pasteura Street)

11:30 – 15:45 – Popular science lectures, workshops, laboratory visits, Demonstration Zone, field game, quiz, and information stands of faculties and other university units

15:15 – 15:45 – Demonstration “A Little Light in the Chemical Kitchen”
(lecture hall, Faculty of Chemistry UW, 1 Pasteura Street)

16:00 – Closing ceremony and prize giving for the winners of the field game and quiz, as well as a prize draw for holders of the “Model Student Index”
(lecture hall, Faculty of Chemistry UW, 1 Pasteura Street)

Registration will open on March 16 at 7:00 a.m.

DOKO’26 is co-organized by the Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Physics, Faculty of Geology, Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, Faculty of Psychology, Medical Faculty, as well as the Biological and Chemical Research Centre, Centre of New Technologies (CeNT UW), Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling, College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MISMaP), Heavy Ion Laboratory (cyclotron), and the University Centre for Environmental and Sustainable Development Research.
