20 01 2026
We invite you to the NeuroHoryzonty 2026 conference! The conference will take place on 13–15 March 2026 at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. This year’s edition will focus on mental health, a topic that is especially important today.
The conference will include many lectures and workshops led by specialists from fields such as psychiatry, psychology, pharmacy, biology, and psychotherapy.
During the event, we will discuss topics including:
- how to support a person in a mental health crisis from the perspective of a non-specialist,
- how psychotropic medications work,
- what obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is,
- how to cope with panic attacks and anxiety,
- how physical activity affects mental health,
- what electroconvulsive therapy looks like in a psychiatric hospital and how it can save lives in the 21st century,
- the link between inflammation and mental health,
- how to help a person in a suicidal crisis,
- the possible impact of prions, infectious protein particles, on mental health.
The conference is organised by the Student Scientific Circle of Neurobiology. In 2025, the NeuroHoryzonty conference was nominated for the Project of the Year 2025 title by the Student Scientific Movement (StRuNa).
