Wi-Fi at the Faculty of Biology

A wireless Wi-Fi network is available in the Faculty of Biology building at 1 Miecznikowa Street.

The standard network available is EDUROAM, which can be accessed by all employees and students who have accounts in the USOS system.

The Faculty’s own wireless network is also available. Currently, the network is undergoing modernization and expansion. In the coming weeks, additional transmitters will be installed to cover a significant part of the building at 1 Miecznikowa Street. This year, the plan is to install several dozen (nearly 100) transmitters to provide Wi-Fi coverage throughout the entire building.

The Faculty of Biology networks are Biologia-pracownicy (Biology-staff) and Biologia-goscie (Biology-guests). At present, they are available from only five access points. Access passwords for these networks can be obtained in the server room, room 106B.

The Biologia-goscie network is intended for guests of the Faculty of Biology. Individuals organizing conferences, symposia, or other events in the Miecznikowa building may request Wi-Fi access for their guests in advance by contacting the server room (room 106B).
