Interdisciplinary Career Fair on March 5 at the Faculty of Biology

The Interdisciplinary Career Fair of the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, is a meeting space for students, PhD students, graduates, and employers from the fields of science, natural sciences, and social sciences.

For students, PhD students, and graduates, it is a great opportunity to:

  • learn about real career paths after graduation
  • talk directly to employers
  • find out who the job market is looking for and what skills are in demand
  • build contacts that may be valuable in the future

For exhibitors, it is a great opportunity to:

  • reach motivated students and graduates
  • present your company in an academic environment
  • build your employer brand among future specialists
  • establish relationships with UW partners

During the fair, you will be able to take part in meetings, panel discussions, and workshops.

Detailed schedule:

10:00-10:30 (main hall) – official opening of the Career Fair by the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, Dr Takao Ishikawa

10:00-17:00 (ground floor, 1st and 2nd floor) – open exhibition stands, where participants will be able to explore career paths

10:00-16:00 (library, 2nd floor) – meetings with employers, including the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection, WWF Poland, the Ministry of Climate and Environment, and the Internal Security Agency

10:30-12:00 – panel discussion (room 9B): From Sample to Clinical Decision – What Does Work in a Modern Genetic Laboratory Look Like?

The meeting will be led by Dr hab. n. med. Agnieszka Paziewska (Warsaw Genomics) and is dedicated to future laboratory diagnosticians, biologists, and doctors.

10:30-12:30 – workshop (room 102 A): Climate and Environmental Disinformation in the Context of Public Health

A workshop on counteracting climate and environmental disinformation, led by Ms Kamila Kadzidłowska, Senior Specialist at the independent position for counteracting climate and environmental disinformation at the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

13:00-14:30 – panel discussion (room 102 A): The Job Market in Nature Conservation

A panel focused on work in areas related to broadly understood nature conservation. The panel will include representatives of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the General Directorate for Environmental Protection, and WWF Poland.
