15th Choral Accelerations

We would like to invite you to the 15th Choral Accelerations! The concert will take place on 30 May 2025 (Friday) in the Auditorium at the Faculty of Physics of the UW (5 Pasteur Street; building A, room 0.03) at 6.30 p.m. Admission is free.

Choral Accelerations are annual May concerts by faculty choirs of the University of Warsaw, currently: Choir of the Faculty of Biology, Choir of the Faculty of Physics, Choir of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, Choir of the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Bibliology and Choir of the Faculty of Chemistry.

This year, exceptionally for the jubilee, the concert will be divided into two parts. In the first part, we will hear vocal and instrumental pieces, with guest accompaniment by musicians associated with the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, while the second part will feature a cappella pieces.The entire event will close with a joint performance of the song “Prayer for Peace” (music by Norbert Blacha, lyrics by Mirosława Hanusiewicz).

The event is held under the patronage of His Magnificence the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, and the UW Students’ Union Board.
