  • 15-26 June 2026, 2 weeks
  • 29 June-10 July 2026, 2 weeks

Number of scholarships: 2 in total ( 1 in each dates)

Who can apply
: students of minimum 2nd year of first-cycle studies or long-cycle studies, students of second- cycle studies with confirmed knowledge of  French at minimum B1 level

Eligible units/fields of study
: all units of University of Warsaw

Financial conditions: free of charge participation in the language course and accommodation. The costs of the journey to France, insurance  or visa ( if applicable), food, participation in cultural programme are not covered.

Dates and programmes:

15-26 June 2026, 2 weeks

Intensive language training of French language

29 June- 10 July 2026, 2 weeks

Morning: Practice of the French language 24 hours.

Afternoon: Culture and Heritage 21 hours

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit – at least 3,49;
  3. Motivation letter in Polish justifying the participation and indicating the chosen dates
  4. Motivation letter in French justifying the participation and indicating the chosen dates
  5. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
  6. Certificate of the French language skills, at minimum B1 level; a language certificate or a confirmation from the lecturer conducting  French language classes at the University of Warsaw

Evaluation criteria:

  1. Reason for participation / motivation – 0-5 points
  2. Average grade from the entire study period – 0-3 points
  3. Achievements to date – 0-3 points
  4. Year of studies (priority given to senior students) – 0-1 points

Each member of the evaluation committee can award a maximum of 12 points.

Remarks:

  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according to the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • Candidates take care of the visa ( if applicable) on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.

Application deadline:  Monday 2 March 2026, until 07:00 am Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents; subject: „Caen 2026, French language course„) shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
