POla RADości, a Science Picnic for the Whole Family in Maria Skłodowska-Curie Park

On Saturday, 20 June 2026, the second edition of the family science and health awareness picnic “POla RADości” will take place in Maria Skłodowska-Curie Park in Warsaw. The event will combine science communication, health education, prevention and enjoyable activities for the whole family.
The Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw will be among the exhibitors. At our booth, visitors will be able to explore the process of cellular respiration and learn how cells obtain energy. We will also talk about features of the human body that are traces of our evolutionary past.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to explore the world of wild edible plants. Participants will learn how to identify, safely collect and use them. The event will also provide an opportunity to speak with specialists and ask questions about various areas of biology.
The picnic will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Maria Skłodowska-Curie Park, located at 15 Wawelska Street in Warsaw. Admission is free.
The Faculty of Biology booth is organised by Marcin Mazurkiewicz, MSc.
