Inauguration of the 2026/2027 Academic Year at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw

Tomorrow, on 2 October 2026, the community of the Faculty of Biology at the University of Warsaw will officially begin the new academic year 2026/2027.

We warmly invite employees, doctoral students, students and all members of the academic community to the Inauguration of the 2026/2027 Academic Year, which will take place on Friday, 2 October, at 10:00 a.m. in lecture hall 9/B at the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw.

The ceremony will be attended by the Dean’s authorities of the Faculty of Biology: Dean Prof. Krzysztof Spalik, Vice-Dean for Financial Affairs Prof. Łukasz Drewniak, and Vice-Dean for Student Affairs Dr Takao Ishikawa.

One of the main points of this year’s inauguration will be the lecture entitled “Who wants to live forever?” – examples of achievements and challenges in medical biology and regenerative medicine, given by Dr hab. Karolina Archacka from the Department of Cytology, Institute of Developmental Biology and Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw.

The lecture will focus on the rapidly developing fields of medical biology and regenerative medicine, as well as the opportunities and challenges connected with these areas of modern science.
